SMARTfloor Games
Create your own games for SMARTfloor
Creating your own game for SMARTfloor is very simple: Below, we will show you step by step how to bring your game idea to life using Scratch.
How does Scratch make it easier to get started with programming and promote creative learning with SMARTfloor?
Scratch is a visual programming language that uses graphical blocks, making it particularly well-suited for beginners. No prior programming knowledge is required, so even students from grade 5 can start with it.
SMARTfloor, with its movement-based input method, serves as a motivational tool and enables a diverse and creative learning environment.

Develop a game idea
Let your creativity run wild and develop your own game idea together with your class.
In our example, we came up with “Ben,” who must avoid falling balls. The more balls Ben avoids, the faster the subsequent balls will fall. To ensure the game doesn’t end too quickly, Ben has three attempts. The player who avoids the most balls wins the game.
Game Creation
in Scratch
In addition to the ability to easily graphically adjust actors and the stage in the game, Scratch provides all the necessary “building blocks” needed to implement the developed game idea. In our example, Ben should only move left and right. For this, we use the left (4) and right (6) arrow keys on the SMARTfloor.

ready, set, go!
Your game can now be played on the sensor floor. But beware: What seems easy with the keyboard can quickly become a physical challenge on the SMARTfloor!
